A Warm Welcome from Audrey

Hi there! I’m Audrey, the woman behind the pots—and I’m so glad you’re here. Like many artists, my journey with clay hasn’t followed a straight line. Instead, it’s been a winding and wonderful path shaped by creativity, resilience, and a whole lot of heart.

My Creative Beginnings

As the youngest of four, I was always inspired by my siblings’ artistic pursuits. Their creative projects sparked my imagination early on. I knew I had to follow this passion, which led me to a high school with a robust fine arts program. It wasn’t long before I realized I had found my calling. This passion led me to earn a BFA in Ceramics, fully immersing myself in the world of clay.

Facing Challenges

However, life had other plans for me. After graduating, the 2008 economic downturn made it challenging to pursue a full-time career in the arts. I had to adapt to the situation at hand. I initially turned to the restaurant industry, which became an unexpected blessing. This path not only supported me financially during a time of transition but also introduced me to my wonderful husband. Meeting him changed everything in my life.

Gaining Practical Experience

Eventually, I made another pivot. I transitioned into construction. This hands-on work not only provided the flexibility I needed but also allowed me to reconnect with clay slowly. That time in construction was invaluable. It gave me insights into craftsmanship and practical skills that would later serve me as an artist.

A New Chapter in Utah

A move from Knoxville to Utah marked the start of a new chapter in my life. I found a pottery studio that welcomed me with open arms. I spent two beautiful, creatively rich years throwing, sculpting, and falling in love with the process again. It felt like coming home.

Returning to My Roots

When we returned to Knoxville, life took another turn. I started a family and discovered a new passion in real estate. I now help others find homes of their own. This work is meaningful, and I cherish the connections I make with people every day.

The Call of Clay

Yet, clay has always called me back. After several years away from the wheel, I’m overjoyed to be creating again. Pottery may no longer be my full-time job, but it remains a vital part of who I am. Each piece I create is made with intention and gratitude. Each twist and turn in my journey is woven into the stories behind my work.
